The Legend of Bayan
Once
upon a time there was an old widow who lived in a village. Long time ago she
has been planted a tree near her house. Everyday, she watering the tree and
swept the leaves which falling from her lovely tree. Although she is a girl but
she is able to climb the tree. The tree feels like a friend for her. Everyday
she played around the tree. Now the tree grow u became a big and high tree.
Until
one day the widow is dead. But there is a strange with the tree. Everyone who
wants to climb the tree to take the leaves for their animals definitely falls
down. Because of that, some people trying to cut the tree but unsuccessful. Since
that day, the people around the tree called “ bebayan ” means dangerous. From ”
bebayan ” word the village has name ” Bayan ”.
Nowadays,
the tree still be alive and no one trying to cut again.
